Sparks and Embers (2015), which I wrote and directed, tells the story of Tom, a lazy record company A&R man and Eloise, a neurotic employment consultant, who would normally hate one another (after all, she just had him fired) except that they get stuck in a lift together for 5 1/2 hours. Fast-forward 5 years and they have had a troubled relationship, split up and now Tom has 45 minutes to realise the error of his ways and win Eloise back whilst they stroll London’s iconic South Bank on a crisp December evening.
