George Lewis, hotshot director at a career crossroads, decides to complete the last unfinished masterpiece of the murdered maverick director Yuri Gadyukin. Working with his producer wife Emily and editor Kate, George quickly realises that there is far too much footage of The Graven Idol in the musty archive to have been shot by Gadyukin during his lifetime - who has been completing his last, murderous masterpiece?
